So you don't miss a thing, here's a breakdown of what you can apply for right now or what you need to prepare paperwork for NOW.
1. Research: Seneca Foundation Grants
If you are a science or research professional and want to collaborate with the Region.
- Exact name: Research stays from the Region of Murcia in International Centers / Mobility Program.
- What it's for: Funding research stays. The joint program with Fulbright for stays in the U.S. is also noteworthy.
- Key dates: * FPU Mobility 2026: Open from January 16 to February 13, 2026.
- Fulbright-Seneca: The resolution of the current call is in January 2026.
- Instructions: Requires affiliation with research organizations or being a researcher originally from the Region. Applications are submitted electronically.

2. Entrepreneurship and business: Internationalization check
If you have a company or are self-employed and want to professionalize your international expansion from where you are.
- Exact name: INFO Aid (Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia).
- What it's for: It subsidizes consulting services for foreign markets, trade missions and international marketing.
- Key dates: * Internationalization Check: Open until February 27, 2026.
- MAKE Program (Internationalization Plans): Open until March 31, 2026.
- Instructions: Requests are made through the INFO electronic office using a digital certificate.

3. Support for citizens: Welfare assistance and proof of life
For basic security and the maintenance of rights.
- Exact name: Program for the Elderly and Dependent Persons / Welfare Assistance.
- What it is for: Direct aid for Spaniards in need abroad.
- Key dates: * Proof of Life (Vivess): The first mandatory period for pensioners is from January 1 to March 31, 2026.
- Welfare assistance: Applications usually open in March/April, but January is the month to prepare the consular registration certificate.
- Instructions: These are processed through the Labor Offices in the Embassies.

Pro tip: Almost all of these links will require you to identify yourself. If you don't yet have a Digital Certificate or Cl@ve PIN, this should be your number one goal for January. Without it, the system will detect the aid programs, but you won't be able to access them.
